And rewriting them in BGT would require more time than Liam can spare I'd imagine, otherwise I'm sure he'd consider it. I personally wouldn't see releasing those two games as freeware as a slap in the face. It's not like he'd be making me pay for them again. I respect that there are those who might hold such a view though and I can therefore understand why Liam ishesitant to take that option.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Fwd: LWorks discontinuing sales of Legacy games

Hi Ishan,

Let's begin with the fact that audio game developers do not and have
never made a lot of money making audio games. It isn't a profitable
venture and most developers do so as a hobby or just to make a little
money on the side. That is why a few developers startup a company,
produce a few games, and when their circumstances change they move on
with life. It is for that reason it is unfair to compare GMA to Liam
or any other game developer, because circumstances change and no two
developers have the exact same circumstances.
You should be glad GMA is in a position to release new titles and to
update games like Shades of Doom as a lot of developers simply can not
do that do to changes in circumstance.

In any case Liam did not discontinue those games do to lack of
interest. If you read the post fowarded to the list a little while ago
he did so because the programming language and technologies he used to
create them is no longer supported by Microsoft, and it makes them
difficult to update and support. Therefore he discontinued them.

Cheers!

Hi all the example of david greenwood is telling us that specially
audio games developers should aware the popularity of their games.
like shades of doom is updated but the older version is not
discontinued because of the popularity
same thing should be apply on super liam
Liam erven don't say about that he will update his older games so we
cannot say that with a strong believe.
maybe noone is interested to buy his games so he discontinued.
slowly these old developers are going.
first justin second danian third maybe liam fourth will be philip and
fifth will be munawar?
thanks
Ishan
