Hi Dark, Interesting. I definitely did not know that, but I guess it shouldn't surprise me. Some people do all kinds of strange things for kicks, and I guess why not include arcade characters etc into a text adventure,?
Besides I could see a game about Panama Joe since he is suppose to be a legendary treasure hunter and while the mechanics etc would be different conceptually it could work. Instead of jumping skulls, spiders, snakes etc Panama Joe would have to fight them while collecting jewels and other treasures. I guess it could be developed into a serious game if one were so inclined to do that. I could even see some classic interactive fiction traps being added here. Such as if you didn't have a light, a torch, you could take a wrong turn and fall into a pit or chasm. If you walk into a room with a torch lit it would warn you about the danger and you would be at the edge but not fall off. Cheers!
