While gellatinus blobs aren't the toughest enemy in the game, I do think
they freaked me out the most.
I remember when I first encountered one very well. I found the toilet on
level 2 and flushed it, then heard something amazingly nasty sounding coming
towards me. i love the sound of the blobs, the way they sort of have a
burning sound over the slime and movement, it's just an awsomenly evil
noise!
I unloaded with my weapons and checked the detector, but I had no idea how
strong the things were. I kept on shooting and the blob kept on coming, and
then it got to me and wham! I gotthat really evil scream sound when you died
in shades, and that was it game over!
Yes, I know now there are more tactical ways to dispose of the things, but
that first encounter was so awsomely nasty!
