Hi Dark, I don't think Charles was commenting about the f/n option. I think he was commenting on the fact that Steve stated he finds it hard to find laptops with number pads on them so is surprised when he finds a laptop with a number pad on it, and Charles didn't think it was progress to find laptops without them. At least that is how I read the conversation.
