Hi Jamie, You need to find the time turner necklace, pick it up check your inventory and hit enter on it. Then the f3 key saves your game. You have 14 save slots to choose from but I suggest writing down a note to yourself on what floor you are on because the chapter numbers are not always obvious since the dungeon is chapter 11 but it is below chapter 1. I had to do this because the game engine does not allow negative numbers. Well, I guess I could have started you out in the chamber of secrets as the demo level!
