Hi Bryan, are you sure you were around a mile back from Art?  You should 
be within at least a tenth of a mile to have a chance of catching him at the 
end.
  Also note you can change the way distance reporting is done from time to 
miles in the options if that helps.
  One more thing, you have probably already done this, but be sure and check 
your altitude when you are getting used to the jumps, you shouldn't be much 
over 35 feet up when you clear, anything more and you are burning time, and 
of course use your gravity puller after the jump.
