As I understand it, the original game was played using your memory of the 
locations of monsters and traps, so, the longer you played, the better you 
got at the game.  So there wasn't randomness in the monster and trap 
placement.  There has been a lot of discussion as to whether there should, 
or should not be, randomness in the game.  While randomness would add a 
little more challenge and replay value, it would stray from the original. 
Which way to go is up to Tom.  I would be happy either way.  I would like 
the randomness, but would also like to have a game as close to the original 
as he can reasonably get it.
