Josh,

Our company is shipping 9 games that are playable by people who are blind.

They currently run on Windows only.

However, they're written in Java and the code base has been run on Linux
(as well as the Mac.)

The games do not require DirectX because they use a Java-based speech
synthesizer to self-voice. They do not use SAPI.

The 2 things that keep the company from publishing these games on Linux are:

    * We haven't selected an installation kit, particularly one that is
useable by a consumer (as opposed to an I T professional) who is blind.

    * We don't know if there is any market for the games.

So please help me with two questions:

What installer would you use? (A separate email from Thomas Ward
suggested R P M or D P K G)

What is your opinion as to how many Linux folks who are blind would like games?

B T W. I just joined this forum yesterday. Am a Java game coder for a
mainstream software company. Am interested in audio interfaces. The
company's U R L is <http://www.7128.com/>www.7128.com, but don't expect a
sales pitch. I'm a geek.
