Hi Darren,
If you enroll in USA Games pre-order program opening sometime next year 
there will be huge advantages to pre-ordering the game. You will get the 
game not only earlier, but be able to beta test it, give suggestions, 
and get the game at a discount price.
The ESP and Alchemy pre-ordering failed primarily because James North 
failed to update the community on how the work was progressing, he 
didn't have public betas or anything interested parties could view, and 
even the discounts weren't all that much compared to the actual price he 
was going to sell the games for when they were released.
All i am saying here is don't judge pre-ordering based on one mans 
actions or lack there of.
