A more permanent solution to running it as admin is to do the following: using gma tank commander as an example, highlight the icon on your desktop and press alt enter for properties. Press control tab once and you'll end up in the compatibility tab. If you shift tab a few times you'll be on run this program as an administrator checkbox. Check it and tab to apply and hit enter. Also keep in mind that if you check the run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox, you get different options like windows XP if the program truly does not work on vista.
