Well if you do test a load and in particularly unstalbe software you really 
need a second system.
A working system shouldn't be subject to tests.
Which is why I only test games and stuff like websites now.
One day when I can get the desk space or something I'd like to test more buggy 
and unstable things, but I only have 1 system.
I think it would be good for all devs to get some sort of automated 
registration server loaded like gma has so that when you need a key you put 
your user code and your name, maybe a password in if you need one and you get a 
reg key.
Gma's one is on email but If you did it through a secure login for the emailed 
key and got it that way that would be ok to.
