I've noticed that that doesn't work as well for me. But a great person to ask would be Charles Rivard. Not only did he do that stereo review of Ten Pin Alley (anyone know whatever happened to that BTW?) but he's been a bowler since I believe 1970. In fact it's thanks in part to him that the physics of TPA and the rules are as accurate as they are. But I've heard he's pretty good.
