Hi Everett, I use to belong to a blind bowlers league and we used a bowling rail which is set up on the left or right side of the alley and you use the free hand to follow the rail down the approach and after a few tries you get a feel of the alley. The rail is held up with two bowling balls and is out of the way of the other bowlers. I found that larger cities bowling alleys some times have these rails if you ask for them. I bought one for myself and it folded up into a package about three feet long and about six inches around. My average score was around 130, which I thought was a bit low, but we had blind bowlers that constantly got 200 or more. Hope you continue to bowl. Try your local bowling alley for a rail, they may be able to order one or one of the adaptive stores should be able to get you one. So I went bowling with my cousin and girlfriend a couple days ago and loved it. Problem with that is that I made myself look like a complete fool much of the time because I couldn't find a good technique to gage where things were. I usually line up with the little ball dispensor thingy and head out about eight steps, then let 'er go. Anyone got any techniques they use to bowl in real life... that is, if anyone relaly does bowl in real life here. This list is pretty eclectic as far as age range and interests, so I figured I"d give it a try. Thanks guys. --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org.
