Hi everyone,
Off and on for the passed couple of months we have been avoiding some of
your questions about our side-scroller project that we are currently
creating that will be a free replacement for Montezuma's Return for
those customers currently on pre-order status. Since the games story,
characters, and game play is now pretty much fixed I feel i should
answer some of your questions. For those interested in the new
side-scroller here is a short little summary of the game which I will be
posting on the USA Games web site this week. (Note, I mean this text not
the game.)
Tomb Hunter I
the Sands of Time
Eighty-six years after Dr. Howard Carter discovered the nearly in tact
tomb of Tutankhamen daring adventurer, archaeologist, and explorer,
Angela Summers, has embarked on her most dangerous adventure to date. In
2006 ground radar showed signs of a hidden chamber or tomb in the Valley
of the Kings near Tutankhamen’s tomb. It was informally designated
KV-64. Driven by her hard-nosed determination, desire for exploration,
and mastery of archaeology Angela Summers has discovered the lost tomb,
and entered it. Now, she must use all of her skill to stay alive long
enough to tell the world of her amazing discovery.
In this highly addictive, fast action, side-scroller you must guide
Angela Summers successfully through 10 eerie underground levels of
adventure and terror. To complete Angela’s quest successfully she must
avoid or escape several deadly traps including: falling rocks, rolling
boulders, poisoned darts, spike pits, hidden trap doors, and various
other hazards. She must flight or flee several evil creatures including:
sword wielding skeleton warriors, mummies, rattle snakes, and living
statues. Along the way she will need to collect many tools and weapons
like: torches, swords, bull whips, daggers, potions, and more. Assuming
she lives long enough to collect the king’s treasure she will find such
treasures as: papyrus scrolls, rings, bracelet’s, necklaces, and the
king’s golden death mask skattered around the tomb.
