hi Phil, Yeah, I would like to name the pharaoh in this game. At this point I haven't decided on who the pharaoh should be, but Queen Nefertiti would be a really good choice. Now that I think about it, if i used Nefertiti it would actually fill in a lot of plot holes in my game's story. It would help define Angela's quest. For example, many of the important queen's of Egypt are depicted waring a golden diadem on her head. Finding Queen Nefertiti's golden diadem would be one of the greatest finds in archaeological history. Sure finding a complete burial tomb of hers would be pretty important, but that single object would be as big as if not larger than finding Tutankhamun's burial mask. It is not just anyones crown, but the most famous queen in Egyptian history besides Cleopatra. Cleopatra doesn't really count, in my opinion, since she was really Greek and not Egyptian by birth.Nefertiti is a true Egyptian queen from the most famous line of kings and queens in history. Also as I sit and think about this there is another reason I might want to use Nefertiti. As you probably guessed I am a really big fan of the Tomb Raider games. In the first Tomb Raider game Lara Croft is seeking a lost artifact from Atlantice. In the final level of the game the evil boss is the rezerected queen of atlantice, Queen Natla, which has special powers like throwing fireballs at Lara Croft. Rather than having the rezerected queen of Atlantice in my game I could use a rezerected queen of Egypt, Queen Nefertiti, to be the boss villen for this game. She was treated as a goddess in Egyptian legend so her throwing fireballs or having some other special powers wouldn't be that far afield. As far as copyright issues goes using Nefertiti should not be a problem. No real person historical or current can be copyrighted. Since Nefertiti was a real person, an actual person who lived, she can not be copyrighted. At any rate the Curse of the Pharaoh game is pretty different from my game. The majority of that game was looking for gold coins, collecting pieces of Nefertiti's death mask, solving puzzles, and locating Nefertiti's tomb. it doesn't really have any actual mummies walking around trying to kill you or have skeletons wielding swords like my game has. My game is a lot more combat oriented with treasure hunting thrown in as game plot. Searching for Nefertiti's diadem would narrow the focus to a special artifact like the Tomb Raider games do. Plus, in my opinion, cooler than just looking for another golden death mask. Been there done that too many times in games already. Just for starts you find Nefertiti's death mask in Quest for Nefertiti, which you mentioned below, and there is a Tomb Raider expantion pack called, the Golden Mask, where Lara looks for a golden death mask. So searching for a diadem instead seams a little more unique.
