Hey list.

I just downloaded Sound RTS yesterday, and boy is it cool. I've
got the hang of the mechanics, now I have to get the strategy. I
think what my best option will be is something like this:

--First, start off by recruiting peasants and mining gold. I
like to get some gold first, as wood is easier and takes less
time.

--Build a farm to accommodate the new soldiers I will soon have.

--If I get lucky, build a sawmill where the woods are, taking
even less time for wood production.

--Build a barracks.

--Begin recruiting archers, all the while still exploiting gold
and chopping wood.

--Build up a strike force of 6-7 archers.

--Upgrade town hall to keep.

--Build one, possibly two, more farms.

--Immediately begin work on stable once Keep is complete.

--Recruit a force of five knights.

--Finally, begin recruiting footman--my number is ten.

--Once your force has been mustered, then it can be time to think
about acquiring upgrades and getting some of the more powerful
units (like dragons.)

The reason I recruit archers and knights first is that I want to
have a strong and easy way to make sure the enemy doesn't come
near my territory. Often, the passive computer will enter my
territory with knights. Now, in my experience, it's best to have
your own knights, as well as some footmen or archers to hold them
off so they can be slaughtered. Once my entire force is
complete, I can go after the enemy in full. What do you guys
think of such a strategy?

It is quite easy for me to think of a God of love mainly because
I grew up in a family where love was central and where lovely
relationships were ever present. It is quite easy for me to
think of the universe as basically friendly mainly because of my
uplifting hereditary and environmental circumstances. It is
quite easy for me to lean more toward optimism than pessimism
about human nature mainly because of my childhood experiences.
It is impossible to get at the roots of one's religious attitudes
without taking in account the psychological and historical
factors that play upon the individual.

If the people who started wars didn't make them sacred, who
would be foolish enough to fight?

--Rhett Butler

True or false, that which is said of men often occupies as
important a place in their lives, and above all in their
destinies, as that which they do.

--Victor Hugo

It is not true that the saints and the great contemplatives never
loved created things, and had no understanding or appreciation of
the world, with its sights and sounds and the people living in
it. They loved everything and everyone.
