Guys, I'd appreciate some definite info, not simply speculation. I know you
guys are trying to help, but if I spend money on a soundcard, I want to make
sure it works as intended. I'd hate to buy a sound card, only to discover
that vista's the culprit. For users on this list with vista installed, which
card are you using, and can you access both stereo mix and the microphone
simultaneously? How about Line-in? I'm actually not even sure if this laptop
has a line-in jack. There's a microphone, and a headphone jack, but that's
all I can see.

no it aint vista if you mean the soundcard issue, there are 2 types of
realtech soundcards and one is the stripped down version that does not

you can only have one or the other- yet another reason for me to never
