The snitch cannot be caught except on the Quidditch pitch.
I put it in on the other floors as a teazer.
As for the snoring doors on the sixth floor,
they are the House-Elves sleeping quarters.
As the game starts a week after the students have left the castle for the
summer holidays, the elves have been busy cleaning all the rooms.
They don't like people waking them up, at least people they don't know.
I was planning to have one room available for you to explore, Dobby's room
and may still do it if I have time.
