Hi, Not sure what is up with the sword. It works fine here at least with beta 11 and beta 12 which I'm working on. I'll look at the code, but don't expect I'll find anything unusual there. As for zombies they have a higher hit point value than other creatures, but they can be killed with a shotgun. What difficulty level are you playing on? I know on expert it takes 5 or 6 shots to fell a zombie with a shotgun. On beginner it takes a couple of good hits with a shotgun to kill one. They are rather tough monsters to beat.
