Hi Ben,
My neighbors tell me which pins are left and I set up for the spare. Like
if I just roll my ball totally straight it will hit the 6 pin. If it is
more like a 4 or 7 pin left I move all the way over to the left and count
clicks to the right and throw my ball straight. Just with practice and
knowing where which pins are, when they tell me which pins are left I can
count clicks and throw my ball straight at the pin or pins. Of course not
so much with splits or other tricky spares.
