Your special slots aren't disabled, it's just that the ship you start with
only has two of them.
to get more you'll need to buy a new ship.

hi Darren, is there anyway of enabling more special slots? there 10 slots
but I can only use two, I bought a speed buff from the player but had to
sacrifice my hull plating to fit it.

There has been some changes to the ship loadout screen.coops has tagged
each
of the slots so now they show what's in each of the slots and whether
they
are empty. The tags work for wineyes users but he needs a general
consensus
as to whether this works as a majority or not before he coppies the tags
over to pods specials etc. when you all go and play next, could you
please
give the loadout screen a once over? If there's something in any of the
weapons, systems, energy cargo or engine slots then it should speak the
name
of the system that's in there.
Please let coops know if this works.
