Hi, Oh--don't think that you should do that with fighters. They can be a very valuable resource for weaking enemy units, possibly even destroying them. As for your infantry not finding anymore uncharted land--if there is any water you'll need to make a Troop Transport in a coastal city if you haven't already done so. If you have done that, and they still aren't finding anything, try sending them ashore in enemy territory.
