One of the reasons I don't have clocks effect boost time is it would be too easy to rack up a ton. When I first started testing I had collected enough eggs to get boost time to about 45 seconds at one point which was way too much. So I had to slow down the speed and lessen the initial time. Boost time also caps at about 10 seconds or so to keep someone for having an entirely boosted game.
