Are you sure you have the latest version? That would be the only
thing I can think of, as you have to have the latest version to
play on the server. If it really doesn't work you might just try
randomly punching buttons and see if it takes that name. I'd
personally highly doubt that somebody would have a 20 letter long
name made up of random characters, so you might be able to get it
to work that way. My reason for suggesting that is that the name
you mentioned seems oddly familiar, though it may not have come
from swamp.

Subject: [Audyssey] problems starting swamp
Hi everyone,
I'm a bit of a new be to this group but I've heard you all
talking about
swamp so I thought I'd give it a go as it sounds really good.
However once
I open the game it asks me to enter a name and password which I
do but it
either tells me that the name is being used by someone else (even
if I use
something really random like lemm222 ) or it does nothing just
goes totally
silent and all I can do is press tab to scroll through speech
engines .
Anyone come across this and got any suggestions?
