Thanks for the reply. I've re downloaded it just to make sure I've got the most up to date version and then tried a random selection of 14 letters and I'm still getting the message 'the name you have chosen and the password doesn't match or if you are trying to create a new name that someone has already used this. Very strange!

That would be the only thing I can think of, as you have to have the latest version to play on the server. If it really doesn't work you might just try randomly punching buttons and see if it takes that name. I'd personally highly doubt that somebody would have a 20 letter long name made up of random characters, so you might be able to get it to work that way. My reason for suggesting that is that the name you mentioned seems oddly familiar, though it may not have come from swamp.
