Sarah Pierce's Megafauna Word Search +.
The letters in the grid are accessible for the blind. But there is currently
no audio feedback on your success or failure.
Right now there is a word list at the bottom of the iPhone screen.
One category is food.
So you can review the word apple and find out how it is spelled.
Then you move your finger over a grid of letters until you hear a or e, the
two ends of apple.
You move your finger in eight different ways, up down left right and
diagonal to find either p or l.
If you do, you continue in that direction until you either spell the word
out forwards or backwards.
Then once you discovered the word you double tap on the first or last letter
and follow the word until the end with your finger. Once you reached the end
you double tap that letter.
The word in the bottom list changes color and you get a congratulations
token that is not verbal.
I thought in settings, you could have VoiceOver announce colors or
attributes of letters so you would know when you found the word correctly,
but that ability is only on the VoiceOver for Mac, not iPhone.
I wrote to the developer and got a prompt message back.
She is planning to get that feature to work with voice over in the next
update.

never understood how does one do a word search if they can't see?
when you find the words what r u supposed to do?
sounds dumb question but never quite understood the appeal of them can
someone enlighten me and i will be certain! to give this a go
