HI,

To add to what Simon wrote.

As you found out, you earn reputation, or rep, and experience, or called
exp, while playing the game. This is done by kills, finding and donating
items, or thru missions.

The reputation helps you buy items in the safe zone or join missions. The
experience helps you level up. Once you level up to certain levels, it makes
it so that you can proceed to other maps or lead missions.

Quests are for the most part map specific. So if you get a quest to find a
flashlight while on map 1, the quest item will be on map 1. there is 2
exceptions to this. There are 2 quest items you can get from map 3 that take
you across multiple maps. For now I won't go into those.

Missions are the best way to level up. It costs so much rep to join a
mission. Be sure to practice the warehouse maps on custom maps so that you
know the layout of them before joining. Also be sure to tell any mission you
join that you are new and that you will try your best. Otherwise they will
consider you a truck sitter and kick you off of the missions. The purpose of
the missions is to enter a warehouse and collect crates that spawn randomly
over the map. Pick those up and drop off at your trailer to earn rep. Once
all the crates are collected and dropped, you then return back to the safe
zone you started from and you earn a bunch of rep and exp.

As for chat. many use team talk, skype, or other other chat clients such as
those. Especially to coordinate missions. much easier to talk then to text.
And yes, the in game chat works well.

Any future questions, just write here. You can also write me off list or
look me up in the game.

Good luck. And remember that dying is only half the battle.

Thanks for the help! That was another question I had. How do you
progress in the game? Do you do quests to gain levels to get better
weapons? If so, how do you access quests, level info, etc? Also, does
swamp use teamtalk, ventrillow, etc, or is communication mostly
ingame?
Thanks again for the help,
Nick
