Hi Roger, Sure. There are several decent text adventure languages such as Inform, Tads, AGT, etc. All are pretty easy to learn. Plus you can use any standard programming language if you like.
Aemon Deluxe is the Dos version of the old Aemon Guild Adventures for Apple. There are hundreds of quests, adventures, etc and they are quite enjoyable. Cheers!
