I just spent an hour on the phone with an associate, Jess Cannata,
talking about the impact Ganglia can have on Thebes. Bernard, I think
you know Jess already.
It seems that almost all of what we want already exists in the gmond and
gmetad. I think we need to extend the XML to include some missing
metrics, but we see that you have the Gmond Python metric modules to
handle this. Our preference would be to include all the metrics in the
default install, but we'll take it one step at a time. A network of
gmetas can provide all the information a grid metascheduler could want.
We're going to bat this around for a while. Again, anyone coming to
Dresden next week please drop me a note so we can meet!
