The rrd files are the only "logs" unless you count the ones for apache or 
whatever web
you are using to serve the ganglia web frontend pages.

When you say "cluster usage" what specifically are you referring to?
User that have been logged in or running jobs? Or are you referring to
the memory or cpu load of the cluster?

If the details you are looking for are not one of the standard metrics tracked 
by
ganglia or a custom metric you have created/added to the system then it will
not be available.
