BTW, if you think your rrd files are not being updated because some file access date on them has not been updated then either you are looking at the wrong files or you are not digging into the rrd files and directories far enough. My rrd files are under master directories where the access time on the actual directories has not changed since I installed it on this group of systems as can be seen from:
drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody root 1020 2009-08-24 00:54 __SummaryInfo__/ drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody root 1000 2009-08-24 00:46 mach1.somewhere.here/ drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody root 1020 2009-08-24 11:39 mach2.somewhere.here/ drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody root 1000 2009-08-24 11:43 mach3.somewhere.here/ drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody root 1020 2009-08-24 00:57 mach4.somewhere.here/ but if I actually look at the files in those directories I see today's date on the actual files: -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_idle0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_intr0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_nice0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_sintr0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_system0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_user0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 multicpu_wio0.rrd -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody root 12112 2009-09-23 11:17 part_max_used.rrd -----Original Message----- From: Abhishek Gupta Sent: Sep 23, 2009 1:52 PM To: "Steven A. DuChene" Subject: Re: [Ganglia-general] log file Hi Steven, One more question if you could help me in that. On the ganglia Cluser Report page, I see "Avg Load" for 1m, 5m, 15m. Are these values also got logged somewhere? I believe ganglia must be keeping them somewhere other than rrd files. I was looking into the rrd files and they are not updated for last few months. That means the values for "Avg Load" must be coming from and logged into some other file. If you have any idea about it, please let me know.
