Hi all, A big newbie problem seems to be evaluating programs they haven't learned, investing time only to see the potholes which no one talks about. I think there should be a faq entry on this. My thoughts: * Currently, the best place to evaluate a package is skimming the mailing lists' archives, or emailing the author(s). Normally, a lack of mailing list is a negative... though supposedly BKNR is fairly reliable and they apparently only had a mailing list the last couple months. * If newbies see a serious problem with a lib, speak up! At least leave a note on the wiki page or something, so others are aware. (If authors really wanted bug reports, they'd probably have a public bug tracker, or seriously solicit them in big letters. ;) Tayssir _______________________________________________ Gardeners mailing list [email protected] http://www.lispniks.com/mailman/listinfo/gardeners
