You have this right. > A project's home is centralised data for the project's maintainers and > users, when they're on that thread. It has everything the project > maintainer considers relevant to the project. This almost always At times, the project page only has what the maintainer has time to provide. While adding entries to the CLD, I run across some official project sites lacking such basic information as the latest version number or most recent update, which Lisps and operating systems the package runs on, where the source code repository is, and even what the package is supposed to do. Certain projects hosted at Common-Lisp.net only have the default placeholder home page, without even a half line worth of explanation. I do know that it takes time to provide and update this information, and the CL Gardeners may help. Project maintainers, for example, could ask us for help for this. > If the maintainer shares your great enthusiasm for CLD - is aware of > it and uses the relevant RSS feed - he will make it part of the > project's home. It might help if you say how you would like to see > this done. Interested maintainers can ask the CLD administrators for write access to their own project entries, which they can autonomously edit and update without need for validation. Perhaps this should be made more explicit.
