..um, Gengas speaks of "105% diesel power" on 3-digit rpms 
on wood gas, using "pulsator" piping on a 2-stroke freight 
boat engine.  
Inertial supercharging also works on 4-strokers. ;o)

..inertia is is handy to control gas flows and compression pressures,
e.g. at idle, we want low compression, so just let the gas blow back 
out.  Feeding the grid, we want high compression, so just slam shut 
the trap doors behind our prey, the gas mix. ;o)
