I was researching this last year at this time and they were ready to build
in Red Deer Alberta 45min away from here. Unfortunatly since then I got very
busy and did not followup .I can and will do so over the holidays. Here are
the stats I got last year
-Plasco Energy will gasify 200 tonnes of waste per day
-One tonne is equal to one mw, so 200 mw per day
-Enough power for 11000 homes for one day
-one mw is worth ~80.00 $
-Plasco charges the city of Red Deer 65.00$ per ton tipping fee*
-Gross revenue for Plasco is ~145.00$ per mw
*note Plasco could not afford to run their plant if they did not charge the
tipping fee.
The tax payer will see a profit sharing after ~ 20 years.

henri, the plasco plant seems to be doing many things right. they are
running a waste heat driven pyrolyzer with a second stage gas cleanup
via plasma. they claim 1mwh from 1 ton of input, which seems
unreasonably high for a plasma system, especially on mixed trash. on
the other hand, they are clearly very real and not just a forward
looking press release. the plant exists and seems characterized over
several years, so maybe they are in fact getting this yield. that's
impressive.

at various places on their site they claim the pyrolysis is done with
waste heat and in others they claim a partial oxygen pyrolysis.
