Jerry was correct earlier in that the announcers' job is to keep people watching. So, if it looks like David is about to make a comeback and slay Goliath they have to help the fans see it, even if its occurance is a long shot. Jerry was also correct in pointing out we are usually playing the Goliath role. Recently Collin Cowherd read an email from a listener complaining that ESPN paid too much attention to Tim Tebow, Florida and the SECOND in their reporting. His response was that ESPN is only emphasising what the regular sports fan wants to see/hear. I'd contend that is what Gary Danielson was trying to do too. The jersey grabbing of Cooper was also talked about in several accounts in this morning's papers, including the Gainesville Sun. That being said, the only time I like Danielson/Bianchi/anybody else, including Mick Hubert, is when they're saying good things about the Gators. Otherwise, they're just wrong!
