Well that just shows how clueless I am. It wasn't until I read your message,
Zeb, that I even thought of the standalone word 'boy' in that phrase and all
the negative connotations that go with it. I grew up riding and training
horses and 'easy boy' was something you said when a horse got agitated to
calm him down. Where I live, it's just a common way of saying ' hold on,
don't get upset, let me explain' when someone starts to get angry about
something. Seriously, Oliver, if you took it as the pejorative use of 'boy'
then I do apologize. Nothing could have been further from my mind.

But, when you use a derogatory term such as "easy boy" in addressing me I
guess objectivity isn't what you're interested in.
Just how old are you ancient one?

Just a view from the bleachers, but I read the phrase in the sense of trying
to calm a dangerous opponent, such as an attack dog.

I am familiar with the other pejorative uses of the term "boy," and didn't
read any into its usage here.
