I don't want Zook back for the head coaching position - but I think he is a great guy, huge energy, and excellent recruting guy. 

 

These coaches get recycled.  We just brought back Stan Drayton.   Look at McCarney, who was the head football coach at Iowa State. 

 

Carl Franks was a coach under Spurrier, head coach at Duke, now/was running backs coach at South Florida

I seriously doubt it. I imagine there is way too much ill-will toward Urban from Zook, and I doubt he would ever want to come back to Gainesville anyway.

Chicagonow columnist Mike Nadel apparently doesn't have much confidence that Zook will have a successful 2010 season.  He states "South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt was fired after allegedly slapping a player. Texas Tech's Mike Leach was sent packing after supposedly confining a player with a concussion to an equipment shed. Mark Mangino is done at Kansas after reportedly getting violent.

 

The three - big winners all - want to coach again. So how 'bout this:

 

After Ron Zook goes 4-8 in 2010, the first guy to successful clear his name gets the Illinois job"
