Shane, Absolutely no offense taken, my husband's reaction was similar to yours when she told him her planned minor. Just trying to provide a little context, I had never heard of it until it started turning up in our players, but as it turns it it's a en vogue major right now. I have a friend that teaches in that dept. but not that specialty.

Actually my daughter, the PR major, is minoring in Event Management and it appears to be a great supplement to her major as PRs have to plan a lot of corporate events. I don't know what the football players plan on doing with it, but there are a lot of them in the program, and I can see some working for sporting venues, casinos, etc. If you will indulge me to boast for a moment, she is currently a paid intern at a Gville biotech company - they primarily manufacture replacement joints - and one of her big responsibilities is planning the companies 25th anniv. party in November. As soon as her supervisor learned of her background, she handed that headache over to Kaley. She has a budget of $25K to work with, and plans on coming in under budget. Heady stuff for a 21 YO college senior, and the best thing is they are hinting they are going to create a position for her after she graduates.
