No cut & pastes from me, so this will be short & sweet. The refs blew the call. The pass was toward the line of scrimmage, therefore a forward pass. The position of the player doesn't matter. Even after that being said, I fail to understand why there was no cornerback outside watching for a fake. LSU routinely runs a fake FG. And - the play of the safeties and corners on deep routes was not good at all. Someone should have stuffed the receiver at the LOS. Last - a member of our Gator Club counted the roster and there are well over 50 redshirt sophomores on down to pure freshmen on the team and a bunch are playing a lot. It's like putting the underclassmen up against a varsity every game. As much as we don't want to admit, we have to: the Gators are a young, inexperienced team. It's all cyclical. That's it.
