Not sure that level is fair for any of them. This team is a wreck. Year long issues with upper classman and the young guys. Its not a lack of talent, but these kids just don't like playing with one another. The "team is broke". I thing Meyer eluded to the real issues when he said that... they are not one, they are not a family, they are not a team. period.
A new coach can try to bring that back and some attrition will help, but I would think we will be better, maybe 2 or 3 losses and if things fall the way they did for SoCar, we could squeak in. That is my realistic guess... my optimistic one is that he lights a fire under all these guys and they play lights out and we win the East handily. ________________________________ From: Oliver Barry <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, December 14, 2010 1:14:31 PM Subject: [gatortalk] So, how do we grade Muschamp? How will his first season be assessed? If he wins the SEC east will that be sufficient? Will he have to win an NC to be considered successful? I think, that with the talent Florida has, he’ll have to at least make it to the SEC championship game. If Chris Petersen came in at Florida I’d think that would have to be the standard. If Whittingham came in… same standard. Any other head coach? Same standard. So, do we have to cut Muschamp some slack because he’s coming in as a career assistant? I say no. What do you think?
