It's not even going to come up. Jenkins is looking for an agent and will declare for the supplemental draft. He may lose millions, but I'm not worried. He's going to make millions. He's a great player. Meanwhile, this is a positive for Muschamp too. He won't be faced with a player wanting to come back and having to decide what to do with him. There won't be any debate over whether a 2 game suspension or a half season suspension was enough. He just won't have to deal with it. And, he gets the luxury of being perceived as tough on drug/arrest violators. It looks like a win-win. Now, later this summer, when John Brantley gets arrested for fighting at the Lamplighter, he'll have to make some difficult decisions. (The Lamplighter is still there, right?)

I think Coach Muschamp has made his final decision. Even if Jenkins were found completely innocent I think the door is closed on him an UF. His "character" issue will cost him dearly. He is not likely going to sit out a year and enroll in another BCS program. He could sign with an old D-II team, but he will not get the exposure to elevate his draft status. Consequently, if he does not try to stay at Florida, he will likely go in the supplemental draft. There are two problems with that. First it does not have near the exposure (and high signing bonuses that the regular draft has) and with the contract problems, he may not get a contract at all. If he had gone out last this year and not come back for his senior season and the problems he has had, he would likely have been picked yesterday. His poor judgment has cost him millions already. If he is unable to work his way back to the Gators, he will lose millions more. In his remarks about he said the he and Janoris discussed it and they decided it was better for Janoris to move on in his career. Suppose Janoris wasn't eligible for the draft. Would Muschamp have "kicked" him off then? I think this was an opportune moment for the new coach and Jenkins both. Poor Janoris will only make $500000 or more next year. That said, I suppose it's good it worked out this way. Makes Muschamp look a no nonsense guy.
