Has anyone else noticed that when it becomes evident the game is out of hand, Muschamp squats on the sidelines? Maybe it's just a coincidence that the camera only shows him squatting at the end of the game, but it almost appears to me that he has accepted defeat at that point. I haven't seen a game in person yet, so someone who has might reply and say that he squats as much as he stands, but I just haven't seen it until the end of the game. Agreed...except I expect to see some sort of marginal improvement in coachable things like dumb penalties. I expect to see some capability by the coaches to adjust during a game. Neither of these things have been evident. I sure hope you are right, though! I do and will wear my Orange and Blue proudly! Snide comments from other teams are easily handled. No sweat there. And Leon, I am aware that Weis has been wearing black every game (didn't notice the other coach). Perhaps he thinks it makes him look slimmer, or as someone suggested, helps the players find him more readily during the games (of course, he was not on the field yesterday, as we all know). We really must give him a minimum of 3 years to get his program installed and time to build it through recruiting and player experience. But it won't happen overnigtt. Next year will likely only show incremental improvement, so buckle in, load up on drugs, do something else on Saturdays - whatever you need to do to get through it. The Gators have seen much darker days, and no team is immune from having their turn on the downside of the cycle. Now, that might be the blame of the O-line not protecting Brantley, but the receivers were doing their job.
