Thanks for sending this, it makes a lot of sense out of a very senseless situation. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how McQueary still had a job, but your speculation is probably spot on.
This whole situation is so vile and disgusting, I just can't fathom how this many adults are involved and it takes a dozen years and a grand jury indictment to finally stop the abuse. JoePa was never one of my favorites, everyone liked to old him up as a paragon of virtue, but he was really no different than most other coaches when it came to disciplining players. I forget the year(early 2000's) but he had his starting QB charged with rape, but allowed him to play before the case was adjudicated. Numerous other incidents where boys will be boys, most programs get raked over the coals, but not good old Joe. I was talking to a business partner the other day, and said what this shows is that you always need to do the right thing, no matter how hard, or what personal sacrifice is required. Now JoePa 's name will never be mentioned without reference to this ugly episode. I wonder if the Big Ten will rename their championship trophy - it is currently called the Stagg-Paterno trophy. Now, do we have a game this weekend? Ken K MNGator On Nov 11, 2011, at 10:52 AM, Helen Huntley <[email protected]> wrote: > He is the key witness for the prosecution.
