Thank you Stephen, Jerry and Troy, for your information and suggestions. I am mainly concerned about the monthly bill, but I like the idea that you could just buy a month here and there rather than having a contract. We have Verizon for our cell phones and they have these "share everything" plans, but that looks more expensive to me than having a separate iPad plan. Helen
