That was exactly the way I saw it, too. From the opening kickoff, the UL
players were on fire and excited. We were very "ho, hum" the entire game. I
know there probably was some talk before the game about "focus", "business
as usual", and Louisville just being another "notch in our belt", but c'mon!
Yes, we've been here before, but it's been a LONG time getting back, so
let's show we appreciate for the stage we're standing on. The Sugar Bowl
deserved more than the one-sided performance the nation watched on Wed nite.

Subject: [gatortalk] The thing that bothered me the most...

...it wasn't that we shot ourselves in the foot and had a poor night (and to
be fair, some of the UL players made plays that they couldn't possibly make
on a consistent basis) - that happens to all teams on occasion. It was that,
when we looked like we had (an albeit slim) chance to get back into the
game, our offense displayed no sense of urgency at all. The way we took our
time getting to the line, and running the play clock deep into single
digits, you'd think we were the team with the lead looking to milk the
clock.
