Hmmm,

A 1U DELL Appserver.Web 120 with 512Mb RAM etc  would be pretty cheap -
comes with 2 internal ethernet ports, and 2 more cost about $100 - would be
pretty much a flying machine, but I am unsure I could get one without the
SCSI ports and disks!
