As a "for instance"...

A 1U Supermicro case with a P3TSSE motherboard, 1.26Ghz PIII, 128MB RAM,
floppy, and a riser card is $725 (www.micropro.com). A four port Dlink
DFE-570TX is $125.

The DFE-570TX is a quad Tulip chip clone, I have no real idea if the
Gnatbox supports it not. (I know single Tulip chipset cards work dandy).
