Can someone give me a hint where to find information about ident or tell me what it is and how it is used. I'm finding log entries for ident which most often seem to follow "smtp rejected" log entries from the same host, which result from using the MAPS features of the email proxy (3.02 pro).
I'm speculating that after MAPS rejects the smtp connection, the administrator is performing a query on my gnatbox in an attempt to determine why his mail connections are rejected.
