The IP shown in System Activity>Active Connections is the same as the alias, instead
of the configured EXT interface IP. What I'm asking is why does adding an alias
change our EXT interfaces IP!?!

The GNAT Box has nothing to do with resolving a DNS request (either
forward or reverse) on its address (other than possibly forwarding
the connection on port 53 to the DNS server).

Check the entries (forward and reverse) for the GNAT Box on your
DNS Server.

We access several sites that use reverse DNS lookups for security. We also
have external aliasaes for a variety of PSN and PRO computers. Recently (3
months ago) we upgraded to 3.01 from 2.20. Evidently the GNATBox is taking
its IP from the first external alias instead of the IP specified in Basic
Configuration>Network Information. Is this a bug or a feature. We have no
GB3.01 documentation, just the GB2.2.

TIA,
